ABOUT ME
Welcome!

I am Miss Pritiken and I am a new teacher to IACS this year! I will be teaching 6th grade Math Lab as well as working with the 5th grade math teachers to provide additional math support in their classrooms. ​This is my 4th year teaching math, and 6th year working in education.
​
I graduated with my Bachelor's degree in Education from Boise State University. I have always loved working with kids and (go figure) really love learning! In college, I worked in after school programs, AVID tutoring, after school core tutoring, and directed summer camps. I've spent the last four years teaching math, reading, and writing intervention in Caldwell. And now I am happily settling in at IACS!

I am a firm believer in growth mindset and am always trying new things. I teach and reinforce this quality with my students, as well. This can be applied to so many subjects and aspects of life, but math tends to be a tricky subject for many. Which is why, in this class, we will be working to make it more accessible AND lovable!
